Rural Workshops
Tourism South East has obtained approval and support to continue its suite of “Rural Welcome” workshops aimed at tourism businesses based in the countryside. We will be organising a series of workshops across the South Downs in Hampshire, East Sussex and West Sussex but if will be useful to initially get feedback from Network members on the subjects that will interest them the most. The 4 half-day workshops on offer are:
Marketing Protected Areas; designed to help tourism businesses to discover and promote the special landscapes of the South Downs to help build business.
Welcoming Walkers and Cyclists; which explains what businesses can do to become more walker and cyclist friendly and how to promote more effectively to capture more business from walkers and cyclists;
Sourcing, Preparing and Serving Local Produce; focuses on making the best use of high quality local produce to both increase customer satisfaction and boost business.
Green Accreditation; an introductory seminar to the internationally recognised Green Tourism Business Scheme, looking at ways of helping the environment and obtaining business benefits at the same time.
Please send an e-mail to the Network Co-ordinator, Dave Hughes at tourismplus@btconnect.com stating which of these workshops you would be interested in attending. The sooner members reply, the better for organising a programme of workshops.
